Melbourne siege: Gunman shot dead, hostage set free

Melbourne, June 5 (IBNS): A suspected terror incident on Monday left two men dead and three police officers as well as a woman hostage injured in a Melbourne apartment building in Australia, media reports said.

According to reports, police shot the gunman dead.

The gunman reportedly held a woman in hostage.

Another body was reportedly recovered in the foyer in the serviced apartment in Melbourne’s central business district.

Australia's Victoria Police tweeted: "Police have resolved a hostage situation in Brighton shooting a man dead and rescuing a woman being held against her will."
