Egypt: Multiple car collision leaves 32 people dead

A crash involving multiple vehicles in Egypt has left 32 people dead, media reports said.

The collision occurred on Saturday morning in Egypt's Beheira governorate on the Cairo-Alexandria road, 131km (82 miles) north of the capital Cairo, BBC reported.

According to reports, the accident left 63 people hurt.

The accident involved a passenger bus and several cars, some of which caught fire, reported Ahram Online reported.

Of the injured, 53 are being treated at the Wadi El-Natrun Day Surgery Hospital while seven are being treated at the West El Nobaria Central Hospital, the newspaper reported quoting  Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population issued a statement.

The rest of the injured people received treatment at the site of the accident.
