China kindergarten explosion: Death toll touches 8

Jiangsu, June 16 (IBNS): The death toll in Thursday's explosion near a kindergarten in China has touched 8, media reports said on Friday.

The explosion occurred near a kindergarten in Fengxian County in east China's Jiangsu Province.

The blast occurred near the gate of the institute.

Two people died at the scene, and another six died later in hospital, according to the county government, reported Xinhua news agency.

More than 60 people were injured in the blast.

No teacher or student were among the casualty, media reports said.
