Mumbai/IBNS: Subhash Ghai can’t keep calm as his television show Jaanaki completed 200 episodes on Thursday.

He congratulated the entire team on this big day.

The show reflects the experiences of countless Indian women, highlighting their struggles, triumphs, and battles.

He wrote, “ I extremely feel proud that my show Jaanaki has completed 200 glorious episodes. The story itself has an empowering content which highlights the struggles faced by the women in India and the show in the coming days will be an impactful narrative for the society.

"Television has always been a powerful medium for ages to enlighten society and it gradually brings a change to the mindset of the people. That's why I have used this powerful medium to tell this commanding story so that it reaches each and every household in India. Janaki has a higher TRP in a national channel and i am glad what Mukata Arts has envisioned is reaching a massive audience."

Subhash Ghai, known as the ‘Showman’ of Indian cinema, talking about his first television show on ‘Doordarshan National’ earlier said, “Doordarshan has opened the doors for filmmakers to showcase their stories on television series with the full creative command by themselves.

"That’s why I designed my show for Doordarshan ‘JAANAKI’, with a story of the journey of a daughter from her birth to being an adult facing everyday challenges in the world of dominating men n families wishing to have a son than having a daughter and treating their Daughters as Paraaya dhun.”
