Woman raped, murdered in Banda

Banda/UNI: A woman was allegedly assaulted sexually and bludgeoned to death in the Bisanda area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Friday.

According to sources here, Kusmi (23), wife of one Jagat was alone at home along with her three-month-old daughter on Thursday night.

Unidentified miscreants entered the house and assaulted the woman after before killing her.

The neighbours checked up on the house after they heard the baby crying till late. They later informed the police about the incident.

The body has been sent for post-mortem.

Sources said that the finger prints, dog squad and other teams have reached the spot and the matter is under probe.
