Vasundhara Raje meets BJP Chief Amit Shah today
New Delhi, July 19 (IBNS): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Sunday met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah in Delhi, two days ahead of the Monsoon session of Parliament.
According of media reports, key party leaders from Rajasthan were also present at the meeting.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is under fire over the Vyapam scam in the state, will also meet Shah.
The Monsoon Session of the Parliament, which is scheduled to start from Tuesday, is likely to be a stormy one.
Raje is also facing criticims for having close ties with scam-tainted Lalit Modi, the former IPL boss.
The Congress party had earlier presented documents to not only establish business relationship between Lalit Modi and Vasundhara Raje but also alleged that the former IPL commissioner and the Rajasthan Chief Minister converted a government property into a personal one
The BJP government at the Centre is hit by a controversy which involve the names of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje for allegedly helping former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi's application for immigration to the UK in 2011.
Since the news came to surface, Oppositions are demanding the resignations of the two BJP bigwigs from their respective posts.
