New Delhi, Feb 4 (IBNS) The Delhi High Court on Thursday stayed the Aam Aadmi Party government’s Jan 6 order to scrap the management and other quota for admission to nursery classes in Delhi's private unaided schools, according to media reports.

Associations representing the affected schools had filed petitions challenging the government's order.

The high court (HC) also accepted 11 criteria proposed by the schools’ association as a replacement for the 62 criteria scrapped under the January 6 order, reported the local media.

The HC bench said that the government could not interfere into the autonomy of schools and the Jan 6 order was issued 'without any authority under law'.
