New Delhi, Aug 6 (IBNS) Constable Subhendu Rai and constable Rocky, who died fighting terrorists in Jammu's Udhampur were paid tributes by Border Security Force (BSF) officials on Thursday.

They laid wreaths on the bodies of the constables which were wrapped in the tricolour.

Reports said the  two BSF constables had managed to hold off the terrorist attack till further reinforcements from the Army were brought in.

Two terrorists, Noman and Mohammad Naved, had targeted a BSF bus on the way to Udhampur, which was carrying 30 personnel.

Constable Rai who was driving the bus prevented one of the terrorists from entering the bus by keeping the bus door shut despite the terrorist firing at him from outside.

Constable Rockey, a newly-recruited BSF trooper, emptied his entire magazine to prevent the terrorist from boarding the vehicle.

While one of the terrorists Noman was killed, the other Mohammed Naved alias Usman Khan, was later captured alive.
