Tibetan leader to march from Dharamshala to Delhi for repeal of One China Policy

China is creating border disputes not only with India, but also 14 of its other neighbouring countries, Tibetan writer Tenzin Tsundue said.

"Chinese aggression is now the norm – from Taiwan to Hong Kong and South China Sea, Chinese expansionism is a growing threat to all of China’s neighbours and the entire world," he said.

He said, "China's imperialist designs not only aim to expand its land and sea territories, Xi Jingping has proven to the world that his real aim is world domination and the subjugation of other nations."

He said he will be starting a march from Dharamshala to Delhi from 12 Feb 2021.

He said the main aim is to bring the world’s focus on Tibet and "the missing link in the India-China crisis, and to highlight the threat that China poses to the world."

The March to Delhi will begin on the Tibetan New Year Losar, on 12 Feb  2021, and conclude in Delhi on March 10, the Tibetan National Uprising Day.

"It's a one-man march with two supporters for logistics and public communication. The distance is 500 km and I plan to cover this in one month, camping every night on the roadside in night shelters," the activist said.

"From Dharamshala I will walk through the Kangra Valley and enter the plains of Punjab from Una. I will pay my respects at the Shri Anandpur Sahib gurudwara and head to Mohali, Panchkula and Chandigarh," he said.

"From there I will head to Delhi via Karnal, Ambala and Sonipat. Despite the world’s recognition and support for the One-China policy, China does not reciprocate. Instead, Beijing continues to stake claim to the territories of other nations like Taiwan and the nations in South China Sea," he said.

"In India, they claim the entire state of Arunachal Pradesh, parts of Ladakh, Himachal, Uttarakhand, and Sikkim, and have dragged India to the UN on Kashmir while refusing to respect UN judgements against China’s claims in the South China Sea. During the course of this one month journey, I will petition the Government of India and other governments world over to repeal their One-China policy and ask everybody on the road and online to sign a petition, appealing to their own legislators to repeal the policy," the activist said.

"If China does not respect One-India or the sovereignty of 14 other nations, why are other democratic nations supporting China’s policies of subjugation? I will lead a global campaign petitioning different heads of states to repeal their One-China Policy, and recognize Tibet, East Turkestan, and Southern Mongolia as occupied countries, as well as support Hong Kong’s struggle for democracy and the independence of Taiwan," he said.
