Peshawar, Feb 15 (IBNS): A Pakistani university, which was attacked by militants last months, has been reopened on Monday.

The Bacha Khan University in Charsadda was reopened after 26 days.

In a bid to provide security, police and other security agencies have been put on alert, reports said.

Vice-chancellor Dr Fazlur Rahim Marwat was quoted as saying by Geo News that strict security measures have been adopted, however, he could not share such measures owing to security reasons.

The VC reportedly welcomed the students in the university.

The militant attack at the Bacha Khan university in Charsadda in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed at least 21 people last month.
