Kolkata, Jan 21 (IBNS): Ahead of the Republic Day, an unclaimed vehicle, which was parked near a Metro station, created bomb scare at Kudghat area in Kolkata on Thursday, reports said.
According to reports, a car, having a number plate of Andhra Pradesh, was parked near Kudghat Metro station (Netaji) for more than three hours since Thursday morning.

After getting information, a huge police force and Kolkata Police's bomb disposal squad along with sniffer dogs rushed to the spot.

After evacuating the congested area, police unlocked the car's doors and recovered two suspicious briefcases.

Few clothes were found from the briefcases, according to police reports.

"The owner of the vehicle has been traced and he has been called for interrogation. No explosive or scary material was found," one senior official of Kolkata Police told IBNS.
