Shots fired near PM Modi's residence, police say accident
New Delhi, Nov 19 (IBNS) Several rounds of gunfire were heard near 7 Race Course Road, the official residence of the Prime Minister in New Delhi on Wednesday evening, reports said.
According to police, the shots were accidentally fired from the service weapon of a police personnel posted at a PCR van near the Prime Minister's residence. No one has been hurt, the police said.
The three rounds were fired when the change of staff was taking place around 8.30 pm.
A detailed investigation has been ordered into the matter.
