Shobhaa De retorts RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's Army remark

| @indiablooms | Feb 13, 2018, at 11:36 pm

New Delhi, Feb 13 (IBNS): Columnist-novelist Shobhaa De has retorted Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat's comment where he said his organisation can prepare an army within two to three days to defend the country at the border.

Taking a swipe at the RSS chief, whose comment had sparked a widespread controversy, De tweeted: "Can the RSS 'army' take on the Chinese army????"

De has referred to the Chinese Army reminding China's ultimatum to India during the Doklam standoff.

As the bilateral tension was rising between the two border countries, China had reminded India about the outcome of the 1962 Indo-Sino war. In the 1962 war, India was defeated by China.

Addressing the workers at Zila school in Muzaffarpur, Bihar on Sunday, Bhagwat said: "Sangh will prepare military personnel within three days which the Army would do in 6-7 months. This is our capability. Swayamsewak will be ready to take on the front if the country faces such a situation and Constitution permits to do so."

Bhagwat even added to say that the RSS is like a family organisation where workers are trained like the Army.
