Shamed in school class nine girl student commits suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Feb 2 (IBNS) : A class nine student  committed suicide by hanging herself after allegedly being humiliated and denied to take exams in school for non-payment of fees, media reports said.

"They didn't allow me to write the exam. Sorry, Mom," the 14-year-old girl wrote on a note before hanging herself from a fan at her home in Hyderabad's J L S Nagar. .

The reports said the 14-year-old girl, K Sai Deepthi,  was thrown out of class and made to stand outside during an exam for not paying the fees of Rs. 2000

She came home and told her sister she felt humiliated when school officials called out her name and threw her out of the class.

She was found hanging in her room after an hour later.

The girl was a student of Jyothi High School of Malkajgiri.

Based on the family's complaint, the police have charged the school with driving the student to suicide.
