New Delhi/IBNS: Senior Congress leader Janardan Dwivedi's son, Janardan Dwivedi, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday, reports said.

Samir said he was inspired by the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chose BJP to start his political innings.

He joined the BJP in the presence of party’s national general secretary Arun Singh at its headquarters.

When Janardan Dwivedi was asked about his son's decision, he said he was not aware and if Samir had joined the BJP, it was his personal decision.

Janardan Dwivedi was the general secretary of the Congress party for a decade.
