Bhopal, Jan 16 (IBNS): Madhya Pradesh police has begun an inquiry into who ransacked the school at Jaora town of Ratlam district allegedly for playing the 'ghoomar' song from the controversial film Padmavat, according to media reports on Tuesday.

On Monday, students of a junior class were performing at the annual function organized for the primary and pre-primary children at St Paul School when the attack took place, media reported.

According to the school authorities, the controversial song was stopped but still the attackers went on a rampage, breaking furniture, music systems, etc and scaring the students and parents, reports said.

The school has alleged that members of the Karni Sena were responsible for the attack.
