Sarpanch killed in Jammu & Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 18 (IBNS) Suspected militants on Thursday night gunned down a Sarpanch (village head) in Jammu and Kashmir, said reports on Friday.
The Sarpanch has been identified as Mohammad Amin Pandit, 45.
Pertinently, polling for one Lok Sabha seat was held in the state on Thursday.
Udhampur constituency recorded 69.08% voter turnout on Thursday.
Polling for Anantnag Lok Sabha seat will take place on Apr 24.
