RS passes bill to ratify LBA with Bangladesh
New Delhi, May 6 (IBNS) In a significant move, the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday passed a Constitution amendment bill that will operationalise the Land Boundary Agreement with neighbouring Bangladesh.
An agreement over the issue was seen in the Rajya Sabha.
The passage of the bill witnessed 180 members giving their nod.
The bill was earlier opposed by several parties, including the BJP, when it was introduced by the UPA government in 2013.
