New Delhi, Jan 26 (IBNS): On the occasion of 69th Republic Day, the bonding between India and ten ASEAN nations was displayed in the national capital on Friday.

As 10 ASEAN leaders are presently in the country to participate in the Commemorative Summit, all of them have attended the Republic Day celebration.

The event was presided by President Ram Nath Kovind.

Along with Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi  were also present at the event.

Tableaus of 14 states and Union Territories were displayed on the roads of New Delhi.

States have showcased different themes on the occasion of Republic Day.

The parade began at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate and went to Red Fort.

The National Anthem was played after 21 gun shots.

The display of military power was also evident in the parade.

Modi was seen to greet all those people who have attended the parade and waived his hands towards them.

Mobile hit teams, anti-aircraft guns and sharpshooters have been deployed to monitor the situation at the parade route .

Modi, earlier on Friday, wished the nation on Republic Day.

On this special occasion, Modi posted: " सभी देशवासियों को गणतंत्र दिवस की बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं। Greetings on #RepublicDay. Jai Hind! "
