PM Modi lauds Goa for 100 pct first dose vaccination in state

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded Goa for administering the first dose of Covid -19 vaccines to 100 percent eligible population in Goa.

While sharing a tweet byGoa Chief Minister Goa Pramod Sawant, the Prime Minister said, "Well done Goa! Great effort, powered by a collective spirit and the prowess of our doctors as well as innovators."

Earlier, Sawant in a tweet wrote: "I congratulate our Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Workers for administering the first dose of #COVID19 vaccines to 100% eligible population in Goa. I thank the people of Goa for their support in making this drive a huge success."

Meanwhile, India reported 34,973 new COVID-19 cases between Thursday and Friday mornings while the toll increased by 260 in the same span of time, the Health Ministry said.
