Pakistan Day: Hurriyat leaders reaches Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 22 (IBNS) Several separatist leaders on Sunday left for New Delhi to attend Pakistan Day function to be hosted by Pakistan High Commissioner in on Monday.

According to sources, Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, senior Hurriyat (M) leaders Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Gani Lone, Moulana Abbas Ansari, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi, Musadiq Aadil, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Hurriyat Media Advisor Shahidul Islam left Srinagar for New Delhi on Sunday to attend the function.

While Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani is already in Delhi these days, other Hurriyat (G) leaders Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saif-ullah, Altaf Ahmad Shah and Imtiyaz Haider also left for the national capital on Sunday to attend the function.

Senior separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah is scheduled to leave for Delhi on Monday.

A spokesperson of Hurriyat (M) said, “On the occasion, Mirwaiz, along with the delegation, will hold discussion with the Pakistan High Commissioner and would discuss various aspects of the ongoing political developments with regards to the Kashmir issue, especially in the light of recently held talks between the Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan.”
