Mumbai, July 17 (IBNS): In a shocking incident, a Mumbai journalist was found dead, lying on the road in a pool of blood early on Friday morning.
The victim, Raghavendra Dubey, was found dead after he left a police station where he had been all night.

He was on his way to hospital, said reports.

Dubey, who ran a local newspaper, was in the police station throughout Thursday night.

He was called to help the police in tracing a journalist who had allegedly been beaten up on assignment.

Journalist Santosh Mishra was covering a police raid last night on a bar when he and another reporter Shashi Sharma were attacked allegedly by the owner and staff for taking pictures, the police said.

The two journalists, however, managed to escape.

Sharma was admitted to a hospital but the police could not find Mishra.

The police, therefore, sought the help of Dubey.

Dubey was found fatally wounded about 500 metres from the bar, said reports.

An FIR has been filed against unknown assailants.
