Manipur based outfit group HPC(D) surrenders arms-ammu in Aizawl

Guwahati, Dec 16 (IBNS): Manipur based Hmar Peoples Convention (Democratic) on Friday surrendered arms to the Mizoram government during the third round of peace talks held in Aizawl.


The militants group led by its working chairman LT Hmar and surrendered arms and ammunition.

According to the reports, six-member delegation team of HPC(D) deposited three AK-47 rifles, one INSAS rifle, four 9 mm pistols, 17 magazines and 74 rounds live ammunition.

HPC(D) working chairman LT Hmar said that, the third round of peace talks was held between the leaders of the outfit group of Manipur and Mizoram and the government delegation team headed by Mizoram government Home department Additional Secretary Lalbaiakzama.
