Lalu Prasad elected RJD’s national president for 10th times

Patna, Nov 21 (TheBIharPost): Former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad was on Tuesday elected as the national president of the RJD for the 10th consecutive times.

He will continue on his post till 2020—the period during which both the Lok Sabha elections and Bihar assembly elections are scheduled to be solemnised.

While the next LS elections are due in 2019, the Bihar assembly polls are due in 2020.

His election as the RJD president was announced at the meeting the party national council held in the SK Memorial Hall on Tuesday. Party delegates from as many as 24 states attended the meeting.

Soon after his election, he was offered a bouquet of flowers by his wife Rabri Devi while his elder son gifted him a saplings of Tulsi, a considered very auspicious in Hindu culture.

Once being elected, Prasad launched a massive attack on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi whom he accused of taking the common men a ride.
