Kolkata: Auto rickshaw accident kills 1 in New Town

Kolkata, Jan 11 (IBNS): A 60-year-old man was killed on Monday in Kolkata's New Town area, when an uncontrolled auto rickshaw hit him, reports said.

According to reports, an auto rickshaw (Eco Park-Jagatpur route) lost its control near Jatragachi under New Town Police Station area at around 1 pm on Monday and hit Ashutosh Mondal, who was standing beside the Jatragachi-Jagatpur Road.

The middle-aged man died on the spot.

However, police arrested accused auto-driver Nantu Saha and seized his auto rickshaw.
