Kolkata: 2 suspects arrested with firearms from Garden Reach

Kolkata, Jan 5 (IBNS): Acting on a tip off, the police on Monday nabbed two suspects with firearms from Garden Reach area in Kolkata, reports said.

According to reports, the police on Monday night conducted hour-long raid at Asbestos More under Garden Reach Police Station area in Kolkata.

During the raid, two suspects- Md. Shahid alias Pukkar and Md. Hussain alias Chand- were arrested.

One country made improvised single-shoter firearm and two live cartridges were seized from their possession.

The arrested have been charged under Arms Act sections 25(1)(a) and 29.
