New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said a state-level task force has been constituted to control the situation arising due to novel coronavirus and hoped that people of Delhi will fight the virus successfully just as they overcame dengue.

Addressing a press conference here, Kejriwal said, "The task force will be chaired by me and it includes members from several agencies, departments and corporations. Each member has been assigned a role."

With 1,324 people from Delhi under scanner after they arrived from abroad, the Delhi CM stressed on the need for awareness among people about the deadly virus.

Kejriwal said 15 labs are testing cases of suspected coronavirus infection and if necessary coronavirus testing labs will be set up at Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital and LNJP Hospital.

"Have asked the task force members to deal with coronavirus situation as an emergency," Kejriwal told the media.

Referring to the Delhi-based man who had tested positive for the infection, Kejriwal said, "We have identified 88 people who came in contact with the Delhi man who tested positive for coronavirus," and added that all of them will be screened.
