Kangra: Two including a woman nabbed with heroin

Kangra/UNI: Kangra police arrested two persons including a woman under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and recovered 5.58 grams of heroin from their possession and impounded a vehicle used in the crime, police said here on Sunday.

Kangra Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Sharma told UNI that police arrested a driver of a three wheeler identified Suresh Kumar resident of ward no 2 Dewaan Bagh Nagrota Bagwan and recovered 3.01 grams of heroin from his possession and arrested him under section 21, 22- 61- 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Police also impounded the three wheeler HP 40 D 3421, which was used in the crime, at Nagrota Bagwan in this connection. He said that police recovered 19 capsules of countermanded drugs too from his possession.

ASP said that Beroo Devi a resident of Dhmaita was arrested under NDPS Act and recovered 2.57 grams of heroin from her possession at Dhmaita.
ASP Dinesh said that Case under section 21-61-85 of NDPS Act was registered against Biroo Devi by Indora police. ASP said that investigation was in progress.
