Jharkhand: Woman kills son later commits suicide

Garhwa/UNI: Tired with the regular beating of her husband a woman killed her son and later committed suicide at Kari village under Ranka Police Station area in this district.

Villagers claimed that the woman gave poison-laced milk to her son and after he died she also consumed poison and committed suicide.The deceased have been identified as Mamta Devi (31) and her son Ankush (2).

The mother of the deceased claimed that her daughter was subjected to almost daily beating due to which she was in extreme tension and on many occasions she had come back but her husband every time came home and took her away promising to mend his ways.

She said on Sunday again she was beaten by her husband due to which she took the extreme step.
