Ranchi/IBNS: Curfew was imposed in Jharkhand's Lohardaga on Friday after the eruption of violence and stone pelting from inside a mosque at a pro-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) rally which was brought out by Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) a day ago, media reports said.

As per reports, Section 144, which prohibits assembly of more than four people, has been imposed.

Schools and colleges have been shut down.

The VHP has shared a video where a policeman was heard saying he along with two others were injured in the stone pelting. "Stones were hurled from the mosque," said the policeman.

The VHP has blamed the Hemant Soren government for the attack saying, "Attack on Hindus took place immediately after the Congress-backed Soren government is formed?"
