Jammu, Mar 31 (IBNS): With the improvement in weather, authorities have partially restored the Srinagar-Jammu highway, which is the only surface link connecting Kashmir Valley with rest of the world, officials said on Tuesday.
One way traffic is being allowed since Tuesday afternoon.

Light vehicle are allowed to move from Jammu to Srinagar while authorities decided not allow any heavy loaded vehicles to move on the road, an officer added.

Around 2000 valley-bound passengers are reportedly stranded in Jammu for past three days due to closure of the highway.

Incessant rainfall and landslides on roads at many places forced authorities to close the 300 km long Srinagar Jammu National Highway.
