Indian PM Narendra Modi on Monday arrived in Brazil where he will attend the 19th G20 Leaders' Summit.

Modi said he is looking forward to Summit deliberations and fruitful talks with various world leaders.

"Landed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to take part in the G20 Summit. I look forward to the Summit deliberations and fruitful talks with various world leaders," Modi posted on X.

US President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping are among the top world leaders who are expected to attend the summit.

Before leaving New Delhi for his three-nation tour, Modi said: "In Brazil, I will attend the 19th G-20 Summit as a Troika member. Last year, India’s successful Presidency elevated the G-20 to people’s G-20 and mainstreamed the priorities of the Global South into its Agenda.  "

"This year, Brazil has built upon India’s legacy," he said.

Modi arrived in Brazil after completing his visit to Nigeria.

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu conferred the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) upon the Indian PM during his visit to the country.

The Order of the Niger (OON) is the second-highest national award in Nigeria.

After Brazil, Modi will reach Guyana on the last-leg of his three-nation tour.
