Heavy gunbattle between army and terrorists in Kashmir

| | Jul 23, 2015, at 09:47 pm
Srinagar, Jul 23 (IBNS) Two Indian army jawans have been injured as a massive gunbattle is underway to flush out terrorists holed up near Keran along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
Reports said the  the gunfight  has been on for over 15 hours.

This comes days after three incidents of ceasefire violation and heavy firing by Pakistan in Poonch, Keran and Kasba regions.

The Army  started operation along the India-Pakistan border in Kashmir following reports of infiltration bid by terrorists.

Infiltration attempts by terrorists increase during monsoons in Kashmir as they take advantage of fog that covers the entire area making it easier for them to sneak into the Indian territory.
