Gandhinagar, Nov 13 (IBNS): As the temperature is rising in the campaigning for the Gujarat Assembly election, Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leader Hardik Patel's sex-CD has surfaced on local news channels, prompting the leader to call the whole development a "dirty politics" against him, media reports said.

In a leaked video-CD, which was aired in some of the local news channels, Patel was seen to be with a woman in a hotel room.

The Patidar leader, however, lashed out at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for playing a "dirty politics" with him.

Patel took to Twitter to attack the BJP where he said: "Now dirty politics has begun. It does not matter if you insult me but the women of Gujarat are getting insulting."

According to the media reports, the video was shot in May 2016.

Without caring much about the allegations, Patel told media: "It would have been good if they'd stuck to fighting on political terms alone, but now that they've resorted to something like this, it still makes no difference to me. The six crore people of Gujarat are with me."

The poll in the state will be conducted in two phases, on December 9 and 14.

The poll counting will take take place on December 18.
