Four injured in blast in train in Varanasi

Varanasi/UNI: Four youths were injured in a blast that took place in the Prayagraj-Ghazipur City Demu passenger train near the Varanasi railway station, police sources said on Saturday.

According to sources, the incident happened in the 'outer' area right before reaching the station on late Friday night.

Mohammad Arif, Jayendra Kushwaha, Govind Kushwaha and Ajay Yadav of Ghazipur have been injured in the blast and they are undergoing treatment in a divisional hospital at Kabir Chaura of Varanasi.

Upon receiving information about the blast, GRP and RPF teams reached the spot and immediately admitted the injured to the hospital.

Further investigation is underway.
