Dawood Ibrahim not in the focus of Indian intelligence : Govt

| | May 05, 2015, at 08:34 pm
New Delhi, May 5 (IBNS) Underworld don and one of India's most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim is not on the radar of Indian intelligence agencies, the government said in Parliament on Tuesday.

Minister of State (Home) Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary informed Parliament that Dawood Ibrahim's whereabouts are unknown and an extradition process can only be initiated after he is located.

Chaudhary's statements contradicts  Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's stand who in December, 2014 had said steps  would be taken to bring Dawood back to India.

Dawood Ibrahim is accused of masterminding  1993 Mumbai serial blasts on  March 12, 1993 that caused  13 explosions in different parts of the city killing 257 people and injuring 700 others.
