Mayapur (Krishnagar)/UNI: The devotees of ISKCON Mayapur today organised a special Yajna praying for the well being of the entire human race from all types of pandemic viruses.

'The Narsimha Ashtakam World Peace Yajna was held in the temple campus at 5.30 am,' Alay Govind Das, ISKCON spokesperson told UNI over phone.

The ISKCON, Mayapur, is the world headquarters of the sect.

As per established Vaishnava scriptures, Lord Narsimha Dev is revered as the supreme protector of all beings.

The main objective of organising this special prayer was to pray to Lord Narsimha Dev for protecting the entire human race of the world from all types of pandemic viruses and bestow peace in society, he said.

The Yajna was attended by resident devotees.

'At a time when no medicine and sanitizers seem to curb the spread of the virus, only by taking shelter of Lord Narsimha Dev one can save himself from the attack of this virus,' Das claimed.

Later Harinam Sankirtan was performed by the devotees.
