New Delhi/IBNS: The Congress party sent a copy of Constitution to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 71st Republic day launching a fresh attack on him on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA) and the proposed countrywide National Register of Citizens(NRC).

"Dear PM, The Constitution is reaching you soon. When you get time off from dividing the country, please do read it. Regards, Congress," the party tweeted.

The dig encapsulates the opposition's allegation of the BJP-led government violating the Constitution with CAA.

A copy of the Amazon receipt showing the address of Central Secretariat was attached with the tweet.

The Congress also tweeted passages from the Constitution in a bid to prove its argument against CAA.

Congress also tweeted a video of a CAA protest demonstration organised at the Rajghat recently, in which several senior Congress leaders including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Rahul Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi can be seen reading the Preamble to the Constitution.
