Congolese national death: One person arrested

New Delhi, May 21 (IBNS): The Delhi Police on Saturday said they have arrested a person for allegedly beating to death a Congolese national in south Delhi on Friday.

The arrested person was identified as  Mobin Azad Saifi.

Police are searching for the other two people allegedly involved in the incident. They were identified as Mukesh and Prakash.

In a statement, the police said: "One of the accused persons namely Mobin AzadSaifi has been arrested and two other accused persons have been identified.  Various police teams have been dispatched to arrest other two culprits at the earliest."

Twenty three-year-old MT Oliva was on his way back home around 11.45 pm when he reportedly got involved in an altercation with some of the locals at Kihangadh locality.

Following the argument, the men attacked Olivia. As he  tried to escape, they chased him for around 20-25 metres and attacked him again with stones and bricks.

Some other locals later recovered him in a seriously injured condition and sent him to a private hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
