Bihar: Man throws acid on wife’s private parts as she fails to bring buffalo dowry

Patna, Dec 21 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): In a horrible incident, a man in Bihar threw acid on the private parts of his wife just because she did not bring enough dowry to her in-laws’ home.

The accused had demanded a buffalo as dowry among other things, according to media reports.

Reports said the accused began torturing his wife the moment after she reached her in-laws’s home at Badgaon village in West Champaran district the very first time after her marriage.

The torture crossed all limit when her husband threw acid on the private parts of her body, apart from biting her body as she suffered multiple injuries.

She lay on bed writhing in pain until her parents reached after coming to know about the incident and finally admitted her to a local government hospital at Bagaha.

The police have arrested the accused husband identified as Lalan Pandit and sent him to jail. 

In this connection a case has been registered with the police on the basic of complaint petition filed by victim’s father Vishambhar Pandit.
