Avalanche kills four Indian soldiers in Ladakh region

Leh, Jan 4 (IBNS): Four army men were killed when massive avalanche hit a patrol party in Jammu and Kashmir's Ladakh region.
The avalanche hit the patrolling party of 3 Ladakh Scouts killing four of its men at the Southern Glacier in Ladkah Sunday afternoon.
 
Defence Spokesperson said that army rescuers recovered the bodies on Monday after digging through snow drifts.
 
Spokesman added that bodies of Havildar Dorjey Gason, Havildar Tsewang Norboo, Rifleman Jigmat Chosdup and Rifleman Mohmmad Yusuf were retrieved from the avalanche site.
 
Last year, four soldiers were killed in the same region after their vehicle was buried in an avalanche.
