At least 25 injured in Sabarimala stampede

Kochi, Dec 26 (IBNS): At least 25 people sustained injuries during a stampede in Kerala's Sabarimala Temple on Sunday night, reports said.

Among the injured were 17 people from Andhra Pradesh, two of whom are critically injured, Times of India quoted doctors as saying.

The injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals in Kottayam and Pamba.

A large number of devotees flocked to the popular temple as the idol of Lord Ayyappan was adorned with Thanga Angi jewels.
