Assam : Sonowal ministry expands with induction of two new ministers

Guwahati/IBNS: Two BJP MLAs Jogen Mohan and Sanjay Krishan on Saturday were sworn in as ministers in Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal-led ministry.

Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers during a swearing in ceremony function held at Raj Bhawan in Guwahati.

Both Jogen Mohan and Sanjay Krishan are the first time MLAs and they elected to the Assam assembly from Mahmora and Tinsukia constituency respectively.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, his cabinet colleagues, MLAs, MPs, Assam DGP, Chief Secretary were present in the function.

Assam Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna had conducted the swearing in ceremony.

Sonowal ministry was expanded with the induction of seven new ministers on April 26, 2018.
