Akali Dal MP Naresh Gujral takes on BJP, supports TDP

New Delhi, Feb 5 (IBNS): After Shiv Sena and Telegu Desam Party (TDP), another NDA ally Shiromani Akali Dal on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), media reports said.

SAD leader Naresh Gujral said he has full support to the TDP which had alleged the Union budget 2018 had little allocation for Andhra Pradesh.

Gujral was quoted by media: "Complaints of the TDP are genuine. When Andhra Pradesh was created it was to be given a special status, this was promised to them on the Floor of the House. This is now being denied. We are with the TDP on this issue."

He even alleged that the present BJP is showing arrogance being in alliance which former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee didn't.

Shiv Sena has already announced that it will go solo in the 2019 General Election.

However, the Sena will not leave the coalition government in Maharashtra now which is run with the support of the saffron party.
