Adarsh scam: CBI seeks permission to prosecute former Maharashtra Chief Minister
New Delhi, Jan 28 (IBNS) For the second time, the Central Bureau of Investigation has sought Maharashtra Governor's permission to prosecute former chief minister Ashok Chavan in the Adarsh scam, reports said.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has sought Governor Vidyasagar Rao's permission to prosecute Chavan.
Earlier, Governor K Sankaranarayanan had denied permission to prosecute him, triggering a controversy.
Chavan was among the 13 people chargesheeted by CBI in the Adarsh scam in July 2012.
