New Delhi/UNI: Adarsh Shastri, the Grandson of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, on Saturday joined the Congress along with hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers.

The Dwarka MLA joined the Congress at the DPCC office at Rajiv Bhawan .

Adarsh Shastri joined the party in the presence of AICC in-charge P C Chako, DPCC president Subhash Chopra, Chief Spokesperson Mukesh Sharma and other Congress leaders.

"I welcome my family member and son Adarsh Shastri in our party. He had joined the Aam Aadmi party to work against Corruption and bring in the Jan Lokpal Bill. But Kejriwal Did not do anything to implement the Bill,' Chopra said.

Addressing the media, Shastri said that he couldn't compromise with his self-respect.

Alleging that tickets were being sold in the AAP, Shastri said,'Tickets are being sold in the party for long time. Initially, I did not believe this. I told the party to give tickets to the party workers. But they sold the ticket to Vinay Mishra.'

Vinay Mishra, son of senior Congress leader Mahabal Mishra, has been given the AAp ticket from Dwarka.

Dwarka assembly constituency includes Nasirpur village, Dashrath Puri, Dabri village, Sagar Pur and various sectors of Dwarka.
