IPS officer suspended for accusing UP government

Lucknow, Mar 25 (IBNS): An Indian Police Service officer was suspended for accusing Uttar Pradesh government on twitter for targeting cops belonging to Yadav caste, on Saturday, according to media reports.

Himanshu Kumar, in a tweet on Mar 22, said: "rush among senior officers to suspend/send to reserve lines all police personnel who have 'Yadav' surname."

However, the senior officers denied such an allegation.

Though initially he attacked the state government of UP with couple of tweets, later he deleted all of them.

Despite deleting the tweets, an ongoing investigation ended up on Saturday with the suspension order citing the reason of indiscipline.
