31 Military Nursing Cadets commissioned as lieutenants at Military Nursing Service
Kolkata, Jan 10 (IBNS): Commissioning ceremony of the fourth batch of cadets of the College of Nursing was held here at the Sushruta Auditorium at Command Hospital, Eastern Command, Kolkata on Wednesday.
31 Nursing Cadets were formally commissioned as Lieutenants, thereby joining the Military Nursing Service. Lt Rashmi Dubey was awarded Gold Medal for securing first position in the final year of the West Bengal University exams and was adjudged the Best Clinical Nurse, whereas Lt Sushma Sharma bagged silver medal for ranking second in the batch and was adjudged the All Round Best Student. Brigadier Kamal Pathak, the officiating chief of Command Hospital, Kolkata graced the ceremony as Chief Guest.
Brig. Pathak congratulated the newly commissioned officers for their achievement.

He reminded them that the journey that they undertake hereon as MNS Officers would test their skills and patience every day.
He expressed confidence that they had been trained well by the College of Nursing to be able to discharge their duties effectively, even under challenging circumstances.
The staff and officers of Army Medical Corps and family and friends of the cadets were also present on the occasion.
