Kolkata/IBNS: Artist Kalpana Shah's new paintings were unveiled at the Indian Museum in Kolkata recently.

Now over a decade as a recognised artist, Shah has expanded into newer mediums, exploring large-scale installation art with metallic and acrylic plates covered in intricate beadwork in a variety of colours and textures.

Shah shares, "Universe is so unique, intriguing and ever expanding. One can’t help but get enchanted to imagine infinitely. As my name, Kalpana, literally suggests, I have been a dreamer & imaginative from childhood. Life here on the planet is very magical and full of surprises hidden within forms, colours, dimensions, oneness.

"From Hindu perspective, the universe offers intelligence and wisdom and brings profound knowledge and change in one’s consciousness. It would be a dream for any artist to showcase in a Museum. Indian Museum of Kolkata is the most prestigious museum and I am truly honoured to be here."
