Pt. Prodyut Mukherjee and Abhijeeth Bhattacharjee present One World Fusion 2026: a grand Independence Day celebration in Hyderabad

Organised on the eve of Independence Day in aid of Autism Ashram, the event seamlessly bridged classical traditions with Bollywood nostalgia and contemporary fusion.

The evening was curated and conducted by National Conductor of Vande Mataram and Grammy jury Prodyut Mukherjee, alongside cultural visionary Abhijeeth Bhattacharjee.

The highlight was a special performance by Music Maestro Prodyut Mukherjee and his band Rhythm Express that left the audience spellbound. 

Taking his signature art form to another level, Prodyut Mukherjee delivered a breathtaking fusion of mouth drumming, tabla, jembe, drums, vocal music, and vocal percussion . The centerpiece was an electrifying seat jugalbandi that had the entire auditorium on its feet. 

Utilizing the universal language of rhythm, he connected deeply with every individual in attendance*, transforming the concert into a collective celebration of joy, energy, and national unity.

The atmosphere shifted as Heeramandi playback singer Barnali Chattopadhyay rendered expressive renditions of "Saiyyan" and "Phool Gendwa" , followed by nuanced thumris like "Rangi Saree" and "Barsan Laagi Sawan".

India’s legendary trumpeter Kishore Sodha captivated with the Sholay title theme and "Gulabi Aankhen".

The tempo soared with Indian Idol finalist and Dhurandhar playback singer Shubhodeep Das Choudhury, who delivered fusion with sargams in "Aaj Ibadat" and "Dil Se Re", jamming alongside drums, tabla, and saxophone.

The grand finale brought all artists together for an impromptu jam on "Albela Sajan Aayo Re" in Raag Ahir Bhairav, followed by a unison "Vande Mataram" to commemorate Independence Day eve.

Music With A Purpose

More than a concert, the event supported Autism Ashram. 

"Our goal has always been to blend the preservation of Indian classical heritage with social responsibility," said Abhijeeth Bhattacharjee.

"This initiative was conceived to make Indian classical music accessible to GenZ by presenting root ragas through dynamic, familiar formats."

Echoing this, Mukherjee added: "Fusion isn’t merely about blending genres. It is a philosophy where diverse musical elements come together to create universal harmony."
